Egytőről Tasting – Budapest Christmas Fair

Dear Friends,

We are inviting you to our last portfolio tasting of 2017, where you can sample wines from the wine bars collaborating with Egytőről. It is the 6th of December, which can only mean one thing in Hungary – Santa Claus is coming to town! So bring your Christmassy jumper, your craziest Rudolph scarf, grab a glass and be merry with us. Both the event and the tasting is free of charge.

Date and time – 06/12, 6pm onwards
Venue – Christmas Market BP, Vörösmarty square

There will also be food, courtesy of Ramon Domingo Batta, our chef extraordinarie, so don’t worry, you won’t leave us hungry or thirsty – this is our guarantee.

But what is Egytőről you ask?
“Egytőről” (From the same root) is a cultural collaboration between 6 wine bars (Doblo Wine & Bar, Bistro 0.75, Palack, Andante, Tasting Table, Cuvée Wine Bar), 2 wineries (Sebestyén Winery, Pálffy Estate), a wine distributor (Bortársaság) and a wine blog (Wine Flow) to promote grape varieties and the wine scene of the Carpathian Basin. The movement would like everyone to be more responsible when drinking, to choose quality over quantity, and to be aware of the real value of wine culture. To encourage and to implement this vision the project is regularly organising winery & estate trips, tastings and portfolio events. The Egytőről team also makes its own wine every year from a local variety (this year’s is going to be Kékfrankos, courtesy of Sebestyén winery, and Olaszrizling, from Pálffy Estate), presented in a signature bottle, with elegant design, screwcap closure, available to try in all the wine bars mentioned above.

So see you all on the 6th of December in the Gastro-hack Hütte (next to the gigantic Budapest sign) at Vörösmarty Square (in front of Gerbeaud)
